England, they invented the football, but they were not present as a team at EURO 2008. They finish the group one point behind Russia and 6 points behind Croatia.
England was presented at EURO 2008 with players from Premier League. A english man was on the field, the referee Howard Webb.
Born on 14 July 1971 he join FIFA in 2005, a game between North Ireland and Portugal ended 1-1. Webb was the referee at Champions League in Bucharest at : Steaua vs Lyon ended 0-3. At EURO 2008 he was the referee at Austria - Poland 1-1 and Greece - Spain 1-2
Taking a look at statistics regarding Howard Webb I notice that he love to give cards (yellow and red). Looks like he show red cards in 6 consecutive games. In 2009 in premier league game Fulham vs Arsenal he shown 10 cards (9yellow and 1 red).

Both teams won once the European Champion, but this was far away in the past. Spain the 2nd tournament in 1964 2-1 with Russia and Italy in 1968 2-0 with Yugoslavia. Both teams won the EURO while they were the host. Regarding this we have to know that the other team which won the EURO championship while it was the host of tournament is France in 1984.
Spain won all 3 games in Group D with Russia, Greece and Sweden.
Italy came to EURO quarters from Group C. Italy lost first game with Netherlands. Second game with Romania, they try to score in a lot of situations but the they did not succeed or there was the amazing Romanian goalkeeper Lobont. In the last game with France they again did not succed to score from a lot of ocasion, but there was a penalty and a free kick which made 2-0. A Netherland victory with 2-0 against Romania, send Italy team to EURO 2008 quarter finals .
Shots on goal statistics at EURO 2008 found on first place Spain with 32 shots in 3 games. 10.67 shots/game and 8 goals. At the same stat Italy is at the bottom with 13 shots (4.33/game) before Romania.
Regarding the fouls committed italy looks like a fair play team with 45 fouls (15/game), lowest at this tournament
After groups Italy is the only team who won, lost and draw.

Chelsea is waiting at home Liverpool and they will want to win after the draw at Liveropol.
At home Chelsea did not lost any game, they have just 4 draws with : Blackburn, Fulham, Everton and an incredible game which ends a 4-4 with Aston Villa. They looks a great time in this season too, they lost just away at Aston, Man. United and Arsenal. Liverpool lost away two games with Reading and West Ham.
In season 2006-2007 both teams won they games at home, in 2005-2006 and 2004-2005 Chelsea have won all games.
The biggest difference when win at home was in 1937 when Chelsea won win with 6-1. At home Chelsea lost against Liverpool maximum with 3 goals twice, in 1907 and 2005
